Summer Solstice 0 Comments Posted

Summer is almost here! And, while this time of year is often spent vacationing and sipping fruity drinks on the deck, summer is actually the perfect time to take stock and refocus on what you want out of life.  Each year on June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere and December 21 in the Southern Hemisphere, the sun reaches the highest point in the sky. It is the first day of summer and a major celestial event—the Summer Solstice. As the lightest and longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice beckons us to celebrate life.  Today I was walking around our neighborhood in Powell and I passed by well kept yards and gardens in the bright bloom of summer.  I felt so blessed that my neighbors and I own our own homes.  In spite of the inevitable ebb and flow of finances, home ownership has always been a wise decision.  I think the Summer Solstice is as good a time as any to evaluate our lives with home ownership in mind.  Would you like to finally become a homeowner or make a move of some kind?  Maybe you want something smaller or something with more space? Maybe you want something newer or long to have a stately old home in the center of town? Maybe you want to move out into the country or back into town from the country? Are you happy where you are?  If so, then that's wonderful.  If not, it's time to start on the path of change - to make something happen.  Call me today and let's explore the possibilities... I'd love to help you make a move... or just visit about the solstice and this lovely time of year!  Gloria Hedderman, Broker/Owner  307-272-1232

Wyoming is GREEN! 0 Comments Posted
FYI, the Northfork is as green as Ireland and the wildflowers have emerged. The river is raging but mostly not out of its banks. Saw four moose... maybe the most ever in one trip. A mama moose and baby down in the fields around Wapiti looked a little lost. The buffalo are making their way back to the Park and crack me up when they take over the highway and proceed in determined single file. The snow corridor driving over Sylvan Pass is astounding! What a glorious time of year!

Attention Veterans 0 Comments Posted

VA Loans Benefit Veterans and Service Members.  Wyoming is an appealing state for military members due to the peaceful scenery and close proximity to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, which serves the greater Rocky Mountain region.

Military members should consider the benefits of a VA Home Loan when financing their Wyoming home.

      *    Zero down payment required

      *    No mortgage insurance required

*    Regulated closing costs and high loan limits

The VA Home Loan program also makes securing financing easily accessible to military members by limiting eligibility requirements and by streamlining the VA loan process. To be eligible for a VA Home Loan, military members must have served for either three months on active duty during wartime or 181 days on active duty during peacetime. National Guard and Reserves are also eligible after six years of service.

Let us help you find your dream home and walk you through the steps.  In as little as 30 days, military members could find themselves in a new home.  You must provide a Certificate of Eligibility, file the loan application, wait for processing and approval and then close the loan.

Most VA-approved lenders will require a mid-range credit score of at least 620 to secure financing. However, veterans and active duty service members with imperfect credit histories are still encouraged to apply as those with a history of bankruptcy and foreclosure have been approved in the past.

Thanks to Matt Polsky for sending this info.  He is a blogger focused on providing veterans and service members with current news and information on the VA benefits they have earned through serving our country.
